Menfriends

Pretty good

Menfriends is a relaxing place. It really has gone the extra mile. Upon the devastation of the old premises by the Christchurch Earthquakes, a new facility was constructed and completed speedily and is comparable in its good quality and healthy social atmosphere as the previous building. Thursdays are underwear only and are very fun and you can often meet a variety of characters at that time and have different adventurous. Saturdays are nude only till six in the evening and are also very good but my opinion is that it caters to a different clientele than the Underwear Thursdays. And of course there's Sleaze Parties once every month on a Saturday night, which cater to everyone.

Everything for you men to enjoy

Maybe Christchurch men are friendlier than further north, but I've had more good times/hour at Menfriends than most other such places in the North Island. But then, I've only gone to the naked Saturday afternoons - maybe that's just a friendly time. The facilities there are varied, clean and all have been working every time I"ve been there. The men are also varied, all ages and types. Update: 2016, my first time at the new post-quake venue. This is now the best male venue in New Zealand (with the possible exceptions of Bodyworks in Dunedin and the post-fire WIngate in Auckland, which I haven't seen yet). It's clean, friendly, fully equipped, logically laid out and when I was there on a Saturday afternoon (naked) and evening (sleaze) it was packed with agreeable men. I loved how it transformed between the afternoon and evening, with lanterns, lasers, glo-rings and smoke, and the offer of a shot of whisky on arrival. (I don't know why the orgy room, theatre and dungeon are named in French, but they're not hard to interpret, and "WANK" is clear enough.) I've given it one more star.
